What are the gel beads inside the diapers and are they safe if I find them on my baby's skin?

Diaper manufacturers use a material called Super Absorbent Polymers in disposable diapers. These small gel beads are what absorbs the urine to draw the moisture away from baby’s skin. Occasionally, some of these gel beads make their way onto the baby’s skin. They are safe and can be gently wiped away.
