Transition period with formula changes

Whenever a new formula or a formula with a new ingredient is introduced into a child's diet, they could experience a transition period while his or her gastrointestinal tract is adjusting to the new formula or ingredient.  This is not unusual.  Also, the taste of the formula may be slightly different than what a child is used to taking because of the addition of the DHA.  Give your child up to a week with the new formula to allow the gastrointestinal tract some time for the adjustment.
