Why is there more Choline in Whey Dairy DHA?

Choline is an essential nutrient necessary for the structure and function of all cells in the body and is especially important during periods of rapid growth and development. According to an article* in the Journal of the American College of Nutrition, "pregnancy and lactation are periods when maternal reserves of choline are depleted. At the same time, the availability of choline for normal development of the brain is critical."  Thus, choline-rich foods are important in pregnancy, lactation, infancy and childhood. The choline found in Baby's Only Organic® Dairy with Whey Protein and DHA Formula is derived from the phospholipids in egg yolk used as the source of DHA and is, therefore, an excellent and natural source of choline. Each 5 fl oz serving of Baby’s Only Organic® Dairy with Whey Protein ad DHA Formula provides 28 mg of Choline whereas Baby’s Only Organic® Dairy with Whey Protein Formula provides 12 mg of Choline per 5 fl oz.
